Cathedral Chapter of the Evangelical Municipality, Am Dom 18a, 39576 Stendal
Speaker: Attorney Thomas Stöckl, specialized on criminal and migration law
What is it about? The new „Chancenaufenthaltsrecht“ came into law on December 31, 2022. Refugees in Germany are able to apply for an 18-month right of residence in order to meet the requirements for a permanent right to stay. To be successful in claiming a right to stay after these 18 months certain things have to be achieved, for example proving that you can provide for yourself through an employment, knowledge of the German language and the proof of identity. The lawyer Thomas Stöckl will present the specifics of the law, explain which requirements must be met and show practically how the application can be made.
There will be room for questions and exchange of experiences.
